My Story Was Stolen.

My Voice Wasn't.

When I was a child, my photos and videos were taken from social media without my consent and used to create AI-generated pornography. Those images were shared across multiple online platforms, changing my life forever.

Today, I am using my voice to raise awareness about the real human cost of artificial intelligence, advocate for stronger protections, and help others understand the dangers of AI exploitation.

Because behind every image, every deepfake, and every act of digital abuse is a real person.

Meet Keighan

Keighan Mingee is an advocate, speaker, and survivor dedicated to raising awareness about the cultural harms of artificial intelligence.

After becoming the victim of AI-generated exploitation as a young teenager, Keighan experienced firsthand how emerging technology can be weaponized against innocent people. What began as a deeply personal violation became a mission to educate others, support victims, and encourage responsible conversations about the future of AI.

Today, Keighan speaks to audiences about digital safety, consent, privacy, and the human impact of artificial intelligence.

"Technology should never come at the expense of human dignity."

Why This Matters

AI Isn't Just a Technology Issue. It's a Human Issue.

Artificial intelligence is transforming the world faster than ever before.

While AI offers incredible opportunities, it also creates new risks that many people don't fully understand:

  • Educate communities about the cultural harms of AI

  • Advocate for stronger protections for victims

  • Encourage responsible development of artificial intelligence

  • Support families navigating digital exploitation

  • Amplify the voices of survivors

  • Promote conversations centered on ethics, consent, and human dignity

The conversation about AI cannot focus solely on innovation. It must also include accountability, ethics, privacy, and the people harmed when these technologies are misused.

Turning Awareness Into Action

What happened to me was more than a personal violation—it was a wake-up call to the very real dangers that can arise when powerful technologies are used without accountability.

For years, conversations about artificial intelligence have focused on innovation, efficiency, and opportunity. While those conversations are important, they often overlook the people whose lives have been impacted by the misuse of these tools. Behind every deepfake, manipulated image, and act of digital exploitation is a real person whose privacy, dignity, and sense of safety can be profoundly affected.

Today, I share my story to help others understand the human side of artificial intelligence. Through speaking engagements, community discussions, and advocacy efforts, I work to raise awareness about the cultural harms of AI, promote responsible technology, and encourage meaningful conversations about consent, privacy, and accountability.

My goal is not to create fear around technology. It is to ensure that as AI continues to evolve, we never lose sight of the people it affects. By educating communities, empowering families, and amplifying the voices of survivors, we can build a future where innovation and human dignity exist side by side.

Awareness is where change begins. Action is how we protect the next generation.

Why Change Is Needed

The conversation surrounding artificial intelligence often focuses on innovation, efficiency, and what's possible. Far less attention is given to the unintended consequences that can arise when these technologies are misused.

Today, AI tools are more accessible than ever before. In a matter of minutes, images can be manipulated, identities can be exploited, and harmful content can be created and distributed on a massive scale. Yet many parents, educators, and community leaders are still unaware of how quickly these technologies are evolving.

As technology advances, our awareness, safeguards, and protections must advance with it.

Protecting children, preserving privacy, and defending human dignity should not be afterthoughts in the age of artificial intelligence. They should be part of the conversation from the very beginning.

The future of AI will affect all of us. The choices we make today will help determine whether these technologies are used to empower people or to harm them.
